Pricing FAQ
How is Decknote Pro priced?
Pro is $9/month (or $90/year — two months free) per board owner, not per user. When the owner of a board is on Pro, every member of that board gets the Pro features on it at no extra cost.
How is that different from Trello, Asana or Monday?
Those tools charge per user: an 8-person team on Trello Standard costs $40+/month. On Decknote, one Pro subscription at $9/month covers that whole board for the entire team.
Can I use Decknote to track time and bill my clients?
Yes. Any board can be a project with a client, an hourly rate and a budget. You log time on cards or in a weekly timesheet, watch the budget fill up, get reports by project, client or person, and turn billable hours into invoices and estimates that your client can open from a link. Free includes time tracking, 2 clients and 2 invoices or estimates a month; Pro removes those limits and adds the client portal and the workload view.
I use Toggl, Harvest or Clockify. Can I bring my hours?
Yes. Export your time as a CSV and import it: clients, projects and tasks are created for you, you see everything before it is written, importing the same file twice never duplicates anything, and you can undo the whole import. Coming from another project tool? See the ActiveCollab alternative page.
Is there a free trial?
Yes — 14 days of Pro, cancel anytime from the customer portal. No feature is lost when you downgrade; you just fall back to the free limits.
What happens when I hit a free-plan limit?
Nothing breaks. Existing boards, fields and views keep working — you just can't create more past the limit until you upgrade or remove some.
Do collaborators need to pay?
Never. Only the board owner pays, and their Pro unlocks the Pro features for everyone on their boards — commenting, mentions, notifications and public sharing included. A free board is just for its owner; Pro lets you share it with everyone for the same $9 flat, however many of you there are.
